FOREST CERTIFICATION
Forest certification is realized according to the schemes of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and within the framework of the Forest Certification System of the National Conformity Approval System of the Republic of Belarus recognized by Pan European Forest Council (PEFC).

Taking into account the requirements of the schemes of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) 47 forest enterprises and more than 4.1 milllion ha of the forest fund were certified (51% of the total forest fund of the Ministry of Forestry). The activities in this field are in progress at the moment. During 2011 there is planned to certify according to the FCS schemes 20 forest enterprises with the total area 1.56 million ha.

90 forest enterprises with the total area of 7 565.1 thousand ha have the National Certificates and are able to use the PEFC label on their products. Certification activities in 5 remaining forest enterprises of Brest State Forestry Production Association will be finished 2011.
